"Birds at Flight"

The artist that created this painting was Barbara Stewart. The frame measures 46 cm by 41 cm. The frame is made out of wood, is covered by a glass glazing and the framers wire on the back is made out of metal. The painting itself measures 25 cm by 27 cm. The painting is in landscape orientation and includes the artist's signature. The wooden frame has some scratch marks. Barbara Stewart was born in 1929 in York. She studied art at the Leeds Collage of Education as part of her teachers training. She was a full member of the RBSA(Royal Birmingham Society of Artists) and was elected RWA in 1989 and PS in 1997. She won the Frank Herring Award in 1996, the Daler-Rowney Award in 1998 and the Thompson's Gallery Award in 1999. She exhibited at the RA Summer Exhibition, Thompson's Gallery, Workshop Wales and Fishguard. She was also included in The Autumn Show, The Wykeham Gallery and Stockbridge in 2004.
