The artist that created this painting was Chaim Savitsky. The frame measures 65 cm by 44 cm. The frame is made out of wood and the framers wire on the back is made out of metal. The painting itself measures 46 cm by 24 cm. The painting is in landscape orientation and is a signed oil painting. Chaim Savitsky was born in 1907 in Branovich. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. When he was 9, Chaim started to paint pictures for the Great Synagogue of Bernovich. Later, he learned to paint at the Academy of Vilna. In 1939, Chaim immigrated to Israel on a illegal immigration ship called the SS Draga. He started working in the orchards of Rehovot then opened a knitting mill but after 20 years, he went back to making art. He was well known for his landscape and Judaic scenes. Unfortunately, Chaim Savitsky passed away in 2014. His paintings are on display in multiple continents.
